An architect passionate about the relationship between people, buildings, and their environment, Julia Lianis has been working for over 15 years to design projects that meet the needs of individuals and communities.
Her career at socially conscious architecture firms, followed by her work in the municipal sector, has enabled her to develop a holistic vision of architecture: an approach in which each project is rooted in its context, its locale, and the people who live there. As a senior project manager and director of innovation, she has contributed to the completion of complex projects by incorporating collaborative, sustainable, and sensitive design practices.
She founded Biophile architecture intending to create contemporary architecture in harmony with living things, where design choices stem from a deep understanding of the occupants’ needs, the site, and their aspirations.
Convinced that housing can contribute to well-being and a more balanced relationship with our environment, Julia continually explores eco-friendly housing, energy efficiency, and sustainable construction concepts. She is particularly interested in the Novoclimat, Passive House, LEED, Net Zero, and Living Building Challenge approaches, while prioritizing solutions tailored to each project.
