La Maison du Lac Paul

In Mille-Isles, on the shores of Lake Paul, the house unfolds in four volumes that seem to climb the site step by step, as if to follow the sun’s path and accompany it throughout the day. Designed for a couple immersed daily in the virtual world of video games, it becomes a gateway to the tangible world, a space where light, wood, and wind take their rightful place. The veranda, living spaces, and more intimate rooms are arranged around a double-height area bathed in light from a series of windows that frame the lake and forest, reminding us at every glance that nature is the essential backdrop. The noble materials—wood, sheet metal, aluminum—give the house a simple and durable aesthetic that echoes the landscape. On the upstairs terrace, between sky and water, time stands still. We discover a place for contemplation where we anchor yourselves in reality, far from screens, to rediscover the depth of lived moments.
